I don't know what you were doing when you lived in California, Fleg, but please keep your nose out of our politics now that you have moved....mess up some other state, OK? This implies that the writer, whoever he/she may be, believes California not to be messed up as a result of decades of Democrats promising the moon and the sky to public employee unions in exchange for large donations taken without permission from public employee paychecks. Stolen, if you will, from those employees who do not support Democrats. You will note that Prop 32 forbids corporations from taking money from their employees' paychecks as well, not that they do that now. And it forbids corporations from donating to politicians. That's got to make your leg tingle. But it's the public employee unions that are the biggest donors to politicians at the state level in many states, California included I believe. I also believe that the writer must be either 1) a member of a public employee union or in the family of one; 2) someone who doesn't pay taxes to CA; or 3) someone who likes his/her taxes to pay for pensions and health care benefits for union members that are far better than the ones he/she gets for him/herself. Who likes it when his/her own 401k/IRA shrinks during bad times but who must keep on paying the taxes that ensure that no public employee will ever be subject to those same market forces. In other words, a typical Californian.--fleg
