I don't travel that much, but when I do I buy airfare and reserve hotels on my Amex True Earnings card. I tend to shop at the local Kroger Fuel Center, which is one of those places that does not use a gas merchant code but the grocery store merchant code, so I don't get the 2% on gas unless I stop at an actual gas station or the Costco fuel center, neither of which I do on a regular basis.

Who used to use his Costco True Earnings card for nearly all transactions but then transitioned to a Disney Visa so he could accumulate reward dollars he could apply to his next vacation trip to his park and he is now about $350 towards his goal...
