I feel like mine would be a crumpled-up slip of paper.

I've never had a binder (outside of work/school). Never ever ever!

ha- that is almost exactly what my sister said when I mentioned making a spreadsheet ...

But my answer (to this as well) is
*I have a spreadsheet for that*

My suggestion would be to number your plastic bins and put the contents & location on a spreadsheet. In my house, I put things away, and when I travel for work, useful items travel as well - yet I am still expected to know their locations. If it is on a list, there is a greater chance that it will find its home.
A spreadsheet helps if you suddenly want to put razor blades in with airplane glue in box #4 in the bathroom instead of with the duct tape, in box #2 in the front closet - it will be easy to switch and update...

I keep my list taped inside a cupboard in which some of these bins reside, then it does not end up crumpled underneath library books or empty wine bottles.

peace & this is Not where this belongs
