I find there being something "gross" about middle class families buying $100+ children's dolls. Now I'll admit, I wanted the Barbie Dream House and never got it, but when I got to go to college (out of state) and it was paid through specific savings my parent's had saved for the education of both their children, I appreciated why I didn't get some of the toys I really wanted during my childhood.
