I find this despicable, and I'm surprised that these people go around informing others of it proudly, as if it's some kind of badge of honor to strip a house that they no longer own.

I had no idea this sort of thing went on.

I once owned a home that had been foreclosed on, and yes it needed a lot of work before it was liveable, but all the appliances and fixtures were still there and in good working condition. I guess I shouldn't have been so shocked by the cosmetic damage and just been thankful.
