I forgot to add that ever since I left work, I've kept a price book on groceries and household items. I got that idea from the LBYM board here....I update it from time to time, over the past couple of yrs, prices for food have gone up. I buy from Costco, Kroger's, Martin's and WalMart.....WalMart from the get-go has saved me money...but there are sales for items I use and I go to the other stores for them and Costco is a good place too but have to be careful there......go in for a couple of items leave after buying a couple of dollars worth of stuff. I also get my doggie and human drugs from Costco pharmacy...my dog has a card there and at Walgreen's...save a lot of money on her drugs at Costco.

Price creep will definitely eat away at savings as well as having to pay high deductibles and taxes....very unpredictable things to forecast right now...something to be concerned about and protect the savings as best one can.
