I found an easy, inexpensive way to start a DRIP for my five grandchildren. I opened up an account at Vanguard Brokerage services and bought 20 shares of KO using their web page to make the transaction. The trade cost $20. Then I sent a letter to Vanguard instructing them to transfer ownershop of five of the shares--one to each grandchild. Vanguard does this at no charge. The five certificates came in the mail, and I'm framing and distributing them as the birthdays come up.
