I fully understand that many people do not accept the premise- that health care is a rightIt can't be a right because exercising a right doesn't require that you take something away from somebody else by force. Peter's right to free speech does no harm to Paul. Neither does Peter's right to not self-incriminate himself, to be safe from unlawful search and seizure, to engage in lawful assembly, etc.But Peter's "right" to health care entails the government taking away some of Paul's stuff and giving it to Peter. Just because health care is important, doesn't make it any more a right than Peter's "right" to drive a Jaguar that he can't afford.--fleg
