As anyone in Fool HQ can tell you, I have a MAJOR weakness for New Orleans. As a matter of fact, I went to college there, so if you are tempted to spend the winter there escaping the cold, let me know.

Recommendation #1: Your first visit should NOT be during Mardi Gras. It's just too nuts. You'll enjoy MG more if you go to NOLA once before to see what it's like the rest of the year.
