I guess that will learn me to "preview message" before posting!! <BG>

February 10th officially marks Chinese New Year, this year. I've been invited to celebrate this event with friends. Last year there were 6 tables full of great eats, from Maine lobster, to pork, turkey, fish, various vegetable dishes and various types of rice - really awesome.

I need to think of some thing(s) to bring. I'm thinking a 12-pack of Kirin beer, some Saki, a smoked rack of spare ribs, one or 2 portable Weber charcoal grills with Craycort cast iron cooking grates and some 1 1/2" thick Porterhouse steaks and/or some Salmon grilled, planked on Cedar.

I need to downsize the list, some. The family hosting the celebration are long time friends and valued clients where I work. They own and operate a successful restaurant at a local AFB and the husband/father is a lead chef at a casino in St Louis, sometimes catering table-side to guests at high stake tables.

Would you help me with some suggestions please?
