I had friends - maybe not where I was - who knew who and what I was and accepted me. I was fortunate in my family, but there were people who loved me, whom I could think of and think "I'm not a nobody. XXXX is my friend."

I have such friends, too, though not where I am. And the family I have produced loves me. Thanks for reminding me.

And - pardon the tone of this, but I finished something work-related that was difficult:

No pardon necessary!

Hold on to what centers you - and, as you learned (I hope) as a 'brat', where you live (or work) is not who you are.

You're right. I guess I just needed to hear from some people who'd been there and done that. Thanks! {{{{beejayw1}}}}
