I hadn't given too much thought to this until this evening. The house we bought in the early '80s was in a small development nestled between a cemetary and a public park! In addition, the land the development was constructed on was a de-dedicated cemetary. Plots had been sold but the place went under (sorry about that) because not enough lots were sold. No one was ever buried there.

I know some people would not buy a home next to a cemetary let alone on top of one. But you could not find a quieter neighborhood and nobody was going to put up a megastore nearby. Worked out very well when we sold it five years ago.

Best,
Ken, Fool
