I hardly call 53% to 47% a landslide. 80% to 20%, 70% to 30%, even 60% to 40%. But 53% to 47%?

Funny, I don't recall saying it was a "landslide". I said it was "convincing" I believe. Based on the history that I provided, it was a larger margin than most other elections in the modern era. (And perhaps farther back too. I didn't check.)

In the 236 year history of the Republic there has never been an 80-20 except for George Washington. Nor a 70-30. And even the 60% threshold is exceedingly rare, so perhaps you have set the bar so ridiculously high because it's Obama and not your guy. Were you posting that George W Bush didn't have a mandate, and that he should be compromising into Democratic positions when he barely squeaked by?

Why not? Are you only consistent in your inconsistency?
