i have a bias against bank preferreds, on a generic level (no knowledge of any specific holding within the group discussed here)...

many of the prospectives i have read for banks allow them to suspend dividends up to 5 years, non-cumulative....i am sure there are some caveats and exceptions to that, but....

if the dividend is stopped, one would be dead in the water, or taking a capital loss...nice for them, bad for the duped investor.
