I have a confession to make. From the earliest years I, when reading an example showing proper grammatical usage, has been caught in the subject....

...Anyone else willing to admit this?

I will not admit to reading about proper grammatical usage.

All those years I spent as a magazine editor and such, nor I. My response to grammar is to learn how to write a complex sentence then don’t do it.

To me examples of correctness in grammar are idioms. Never got over seeing that since my teen years when in English class. Definition of an English grammar class: where content is dismissed as irrelevant to punctuation. I got caught in content; punctuation not so much.

Ah, well.
