I have a friend who claims he has a test that never fails. He says you can determine whether or not someone has graduated college or not by giving them one problem to solve. The problem is you have a drawer full of socks. There are exactly 10 pairs of white socks and 10 pairs of black socks in the drawer. How many socks do you have to take out to assure you have a pair. He says those who graduated college will give an answer of 3 (using probability theory). Those who haven't graduated college will say 2 (you look in and pull out either 2 white socks or 2 black socks depending on your inclination).

Those who went to law school pull out 2 socks without even looking. You still have a pair even if they're different colors, and you didn't specify they had to match.
