I have a Lexus RX300 with navigation, and it's amazing. Not only does it tell you where you are, but you can have it show you all the gas stations, hotels, parks, shopping centers and points of interest in the area where you are driving. If you select the hotel icon on the map, it shows which hotel it is and provides the phone number.

Ahh, but it is $2000 for the nav system for the Lexus. I just got myself a Garmin iQue 3600 with the auto adapter for $500 (plus $65 for a 256MB SD card) and it does all of that, plus is a Palm OS PDA, and can come with me when I travel and have to rent a car in a strange city...
