i have a question about my first time 401k investing. I am convinced about putting money(of course i am maxing it out) into an index fund which my plan allocates. Seems like a good strategy long term i.e....
However a key variable that applies to me -- want to retire early (10 yrs hopefully). I also have an option to invest in Janus 20 as well. Seems like investing in Janus would be the right thing to do???

You sound as if you would really like to just invest in both, so why don't you? If you research both funds and find they're both right for your 10 year retirement plan, have at it.

To research mutual funds, you can go to a few sites like: http://www.morningstar.com , or http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/research/fundwelcome.asp?Funds=1 , or for a link to a few other resources: http://www.investorhome.com/ .
