I have been very fortunate in my lifetime to have seen six of the seven wonders of the ancient world, have lived briefly with descendants of precolumbian indians in the Mexican mountains, and dined in very grand style in an Indian Maharaja's palace. And I hope to be able to continue to go far afield.

To appreciate travel is a gift which is to be savored for the splendor and sadly, the squalor, often side by side. It expands the mind, enhances patience and empathy, and for me, make me even more joyful for the pleasures of the somewhat imperfect USA.
