I have exactly the same question! I was coming to this borad to post the same thing! I have a 401k plan set up through my company already and I would like to set up an IRA account, too. I don't know where to go. I do have an E-Trade account, but they don't offer the widest selection of funds (they do offer a lot, but I could not find some that I was interested in). Then I was thinking about TD WaterHouse. They seem to offer a lot. But is an on-line brokerage the best way to go?? Do I open an account with E-Trade and then if I change my mind roll it over to somewhere else? Should I open it with the Vanguard group or Fidelity? I am so confused... HELP!!
