I have exactly the same questions about the selection process that eventuates the Stock Advisor pick of the month. I'm a very new member of this newsletter and relatively so to investing in NYSE/Nasdaq. Far from being a criticism, I'm open to hearing your thoughts Team Fools.

Additionally, do you value your picks quantitatively? E.g. Discounting Cashflow or some other methods. I am familiar and comfortable with analysts who are transparent in their recommendations in this regard. Publishing what they thought were the Fair Value, their assumptions and views of the future world and then applying their margin of safety to arrive at a "Buy" range.
