I have heard it said by many "experts" that a true vegetarian should not have to worry about dieting

I am not a true vegetarian. I eat some meat about two or three times a month. I also eat hard cheese (but no milk or cream) and eggs sometimes.
You know, I don't know why I am gaining weight either. I'd talk to a doctor about it, but theses military doctors are worthless.
Once I went in for what turned out to be hypoglycemia, but my first doctor told me it was my bodies way of telling me it is time to settle down and have a family.
My husband went in for what turned out to be cancer and his first doctor told him it was VD.
I went in for what turned out to be cronic sinusitis, but my first dctor told me I was suffering from depression.

If I go in and say I am gaining weight despite my best efforts to lose, they will just tell me it is an allergy to pet dander or because I cut my toenails too short. I have no faith in them.
