I haven't bought Talbot's stock yet but I probably should because I spend enough of my money at that store. If you went into my closet just about every piece of clothing I own has a Talbot's label. They also sell shoes and I have tons of those from Talbot's. What is so great about Talbot's? They make great casual and dressy clothes at a reasonable price. The clothes are classic and last a long time. Plus the have sizes for all types of women. It is about the only Women's store where I can buy size 8 pants with a 33" inseam. That is really important for a tall slender Texan. There are lots of women in my family and they all shop at Talbot's more than I do. Good for Talbot's and bad for their pocket books. My Mom shopped at Talbot's in Boston when she was in college. That was a long time ago.

The other great thing about Talbot's is that they treat loyal customers like me exceptionally well. They give you Appreciation Dividends, $25 for every $500 you spend if you use their Credit Card. I just received $75 bucks worth of dividends yesterday in the mail. Plus, they give you 10% off a purchase during your Birthday month. They are the only store credit card that I have in my wallet. Of course I am a good fool and pay it off every month since the interest is an outrageous 21.6%. I used to be an avid Nordstrom shopper but the quality of their clothes declined.

As a note to Andrew about the $300 to every taxpayer, I don't mean to sound ugly but the $300 that I may get won't even come close to paying my monthly Talbot's bill. My husband will probably have to give me his $300 also.

P.S. When Talbot's has a sell, I go to the sell at the store and arrive late to work on that day. I can do that since I am the boss.
