I highly doubt it. Domestic airlines are struggling just to stay afloat with the high price of fuel without worrying about buying someone else out. If there are any mergers, it will probably be between one of the majors. They would look to cut capacity by reducing where their existing routes overlap and look for a carrier that offers service where they currently don't (more international routes). The smaller airlines probably aren't in any condition to merge. JetBlue has a pretty decent brand but they don't really offer any unique routes that would entice another carrier to buy them out (only possible reason would be their slots at JFK). With the increase in fuel, their focus on the smaller aircraft (100 seat E-190's) may be hurting them at this time (more expensive to operate). Watch, as soon as I post this, some airline will decide to buy them out! :-)
