I hope this subject hasn't been discussed to death on this board and I missed the link. I
tried to do a search, but didn't come up with much information.
We've bought a time share from Marriott. We are still within the time limit to cancel. We
tried to do some soul searching and at this point feel we will really use the facility. Does
anyone have anything to add positive or negative about vacation time shares?

Just got back from Disney World where I stayed in a very nice and expensive time share apt for the week. I rented through Disney.

It would not surprise me at all that I did not pay much more than the owners are paying and they pay even if they do not use the apt.

My advice is skip the time share. Put the funds in some type of an investment and use the earnings plus the annual fees for your vacation without restritions.

Give Marriott a call and ask about renting for a week's vacation. Compare the cost.
