I just have to chime in here. It's not the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that started this game but the Federal Government and its Department of Agriculture that sets a floor price for milk. I believe their formula essentially takes the cost of production in Wisconsin (the dairy state) and distance from Wisconsin to set state by state pricing.

Massachusetts dairy farmers have petioned for relief because herds are smaller here and land prices significantly higher than in Wisconsin. Yes its a Liberal "big government" policy but there is some value to local production - and the Fed's price formula is going to drive all dairy production out of state.

OK all too far off topic but I couldn't stop myself. Good luck to all longs. I currently have no posistion but Lifeway made me some $ and I enjoy looking in to see how this family business is doing.

Best regards,

Tim
