I just wanted to remind posters on this board of the IGNORE POSTER and IGNORE THREAD features availible.

To ignore everything a poster says, click the little frownie face above one of their posts.

Ignore thread option is above the post title - nestled in threaded/unthreaded/whole thread/ignore thread choices.

A quirk of the system is that you still can see posts from an ignored Fool in replies to your post...

These 'availible' features have not been improved in the last 10 years, at least, that I have been using the boards. For instance, no edit feature for spelling mistakes like 'availible'. But more important, why should I have to see an ocean of grey, when I have ignored a poster? Why do we not have a way of indicating our extreme displeasure at a particular poster? Why should 99.9% of posters have to click on frowny faces, tolerate the 'quirks', scroll past the grey, etc., instead of just removing posting privileges from the poster in question?

I'm all for a little tolerance, even regarding the poster we are talking about, if he should change his ways. But this is ridiculous, and I principally blame our host. If TMF is not able or willing to make the most elementary improvements on its site, or to enforce some limits regarding the behaviour of its guests, it will have no one to blame but itself if and when everyone eventually gives up on it.

Regards, DTM
