I keep a couple of containers on the kitchen counter for change. Quarters get used for laundry; everything else goes in the change jar. The local grocery store has a change counting machine where you can deposit coins and then get cash when you go through the checkout. You lose 8 cents/dollar, but you don't have to roll your pennies. I recently cashed in $8.50 in pennies that have been accumulating since 1997.
