I know I keep giving Discover these glowing recommendations, but I'm very happy with them. I have had problems with merchants and the discover customer reps have always taken care of them quickly and professionally.

they offer:

25 day grace period
up to 1% cash back
no annual fee
web access to account data (although its slow at the moment and slightly buggy, just don't let it panic you)
direct autopayment from bank account or "express check" (you can click at the website and tell them how much to take out of your checking account).

The only problem - smaller stores won't usually accept them, so I do have another card.
