I know it’s rather morbid of me, but I spend an hour or so each weekend reviewing the obituaries in our statewide newspaper. Our State’s population is relatively small and its citizenry (me included) generally have friends and acquaintances spread all across our roughly 96,000 square miles, so it’s not unusual for me to have known two or three of the folks who appear there. This week, there was only one: Vernon A. Mrak. See:

Cerags, that is what folks from Rural/Small-town areas do! Actually, first of all, they check to make sure their name isn't in the obits, then they check to see whose names they know that might be! :-) Umm, not really kidding!
