I know this is seriously late, but why is it too hard for inside walls? Is it too hard for a masonry bit and therefore cannot be hung?

That is my objection to it. Things will get hung, one way or another. The other problem is fitting things on during constuction. Every little thing that slows a craftsman down adds cost to the project. Imagine the cost of molding, light switches, phone outlets, door frames and so on.
