I learned to drive when NJ still had a lot of traffic circles. Those things were absolutely nuts. If you could drive one of those, you could drive anywhere

Not sure what the problem was with those. Every NJ circle did have its own particular right of way rules, but as long as you were willing to just go for it you would be ok. I never thought they were hard at all. My wife, who grew up in PA outside Philly, hated them.

She was appalled by the amount of them in the UK. But the UK roundabout is an simple thing compared to the NJ circle where someone with the right of way might never slow to under 55.

Then again she hates jug handles and I prefer them to left hand turns on busy roads.
