I like cutting costs, but this type of cost-reduction is merely one of the usual suspects.

Disney should make a real attempt to cut the cost of content creation. Pay talent less, reduce development schedules, etc. As an example, if there is to be another Pirates project, how about recasting the Depp role if need be? Different actors have played Bond, Bourne, that Tom Clancy hero (Jack something?)...why not Sparrow? And reduce profit participation as much as possible (better yet, get rid of it). Reducing costs of content creation is a big issue because reports have brought up studio margins (and I would think this could improve the margins of ABC as well, although that type of content creation is a bit different since some risk of deficits I believe are on the side of content suppliers that are different from Disney).
