I like Vegas -- LD

I started watching Vegas this year because of Dennis Quaid--wasn't sure about it at first but it seems to be getting better all the time. This week's episode was amazing. The writers must have been on speed or something--they could have made two of three seasons out of all the action going on. Michael Chiklas is good too--he has more experience on tv--Quaid's getting better each episode--but I really like him and have for years so for me he can do no wrong.

I wouldn't call Andrew's Hot in Cleveland channel "off" either , but if you like Vegas and good action series maybe you'd like Justified on "off" channel FX--Tuesday nights and a bunch of repeats throughout the week too. Stars Timothy Oliphant as dreamy Marshall Raylan Givens and Walton Goggin as sexy and dangerous Boyd Crowder and a bunch of talented and good looking women too who can act the heck out of a scene. Based on Elmore Leonard's story Fire in the Hole

There's another new action show I like too, although it's only been on 3 weeks so far--Banshee on Cinemax if you get that premium station. Antony Starr plays the lead. He is a New Zealand star who played in "Rush," a 2008 Australian police drama (and some fantasy episodes, Xena:Warrior Princess and Hercules:the Legendary Journeys--the people in those fantasy series are so beautiful--how do they do that--all those closeups and the long flowing hair on everyone, male, female, whatever.)

But back to Banshee--Starr plays the lead as Lucas Hood, an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee County, Pa., and yes, right in the middle of Quaker country which adds some tone and texture. Ivana Milicevic is the love interest (now married to someone else and respectable but an old love and crime partner of Hood in earlier days). The striking, beautiful Ivana was the Bond girl in 2006's Casino Royale, also played in Vanilla Sky, other things.

It's about time they had some good new crime things back on the air so I'm glad to see these. CBS does a pretty good job of it with their network stuff but NBC and ABC really muck it up in my opinion. Thank goodness for those off channels.
