I like your thinking, but an emergency stash is imperative. I would not recommend the 6-month stash that the Fool has for its ideal, but living life on the edge (You said NO savings.) is VERY dangerous. I'm paying my mortgage, too, but having some liquid money that you can get to is really very important. In my mind, it comes even before insurance, given that you have it for the same reason. I don't know the details of your circumstance, but this is critical: Have some emergency stash of cash/liquid-assets. Its THAT important!
