I live in California which is also a community property state. I believe that if you bought the house before the marriage the house is yours only unless she has contributed to payments, maintenance and/or taxes on the house since the marriage.

I inherited a house from my mother last year. It is in my name only. According to my lawyer it is my house and my DH has no claim to it. I am planning on adding my DH to the title soon to make it easier in case something did happen to me.
