I looked into one of these places for my mother a few years ago. I found they had a "prospectus" that was over 100 pages. Reading the fine print, they have the caveat that their promise assumes you have long term care insurance. And you will be billed to additional services.You are supposed to get your initial deposit (usually of 2 or 3 yrs rent) back when you leave. But of course, your deposit goes first when you run out of cash.
