I made a mistake in setting up one of my accounts and can't seem to get back to edit the set-up screen for it.

I set up an "investment" and wanted to set it up as a DRIP. I went to the "overview", it allows you to edit but not anything that would change the setup to a DRIP. I then went to the "register" same story.

Does Quicken2001Deluxe assume I do everything right the first time???
There must be a way w/o deleting the account and starting again....(she said hopefully).

thx for any ideas,

It seems to me that a DRIP should be set up as an investment account just the same as a brokerage account or other stock holding.

Then just use the scheduled transaction feature to record a regular deposit to the account and where the payment came from. When you get your monthly statement you can ad the purchase price and quantity of shares purchased.

I am not positive this will work, however I use a similar arrangement on a credit union account where I only track the cash value and not the share totals.

Hope this is helpful,
