I met a guy last Weds. who asked me out and we made plans for yesterday (Sunday). Saturday evening I left him a message to call me, saying "I am not a late sleeper so call when you get up".

What you can't plan a specific time beforehand so there is no need for this?

me "Sure, this afternoon I have to meet up with my friend who is in from Boston, but if you'd like to get together for brunch that would be great."

What the hell are you doing here? You just told him you have a guy coming over.

me "Listen, I am just watching the last 5 minutes of a movie on TV, can I call you back as soon at it is over?"

The movie is more important then organizing this date? Yes, I can see you talking to a machine.

Your interest level is around 45%. No reason to go out on a date.
