I missed the Michael/LG post, why is LG good?

IIRC Michael Read said he liked LG televisions because of their processors and I believe he said he owned three LG televisions.

It’s down to two having sold the 720p – kept the two 60-in. 1080p plasmas.

I like LG’s video processors. Once a TV took a signal and converted it to an electron stream within a cathode-ray tube – there was no massaging of that signal. Now it’s far different: a flat screen 16:9 TV takes that signal and does all sorts of good things with it such as edge sharpen, enhance black contrast, and so on. What has happened is a new flat screen TV is as much computer as it is a viewing screen.
