I only use index ETFs for my retirement portfolio. It looks like this:60% Equities15% VEU (lg non-US stocks)15% VTI (lg US stocks)10% VWO (lg Em Mkt stocks)10% VSS (sm non-US stocks)10% VBR (sm US value stocks)40% Fixed Income15% BWX (non-US bonds)15% BND (US bonds)10% PCY (Em Mkt bonds)58% of the stock port is in non-US stocks. 63% of the fixed income port is in foreign bonds. When I retire in three years, I'll probably use a 3% annual withdrawal rate and rebalance once a year.
