I own EPD (Enterprise Partners) and ENB (Enbridge) as well as TRP (Trans Canada) in inidivual and managed accounts. These are MLPs so there are some complicated tax issues - you really need a tax accountant that knows the area. They are likely to have to slow expansion of new projects and the payout is likely not grow too much in the next couple of years. But EPD pays about 10% right now - useful for us retired folks. Much less sensitive to energy prices than oil exploration, refining or service cos. A poster named factoids is one to watch (on the Yahoo boards and elsewhere) for these cos.

On ABT I do not think it is too late to buy, at least on a small pull-back.
