I read in this months SmartMoney magazine that energy MLP's are yielding around 8% tax free. This sounds like a great tax free yield. What is the catch???? Are these very risky investments which the market is simply pricing the risk, or are they really good investments and are priced to yield more than the equivalent market risk because, according to the article, they are only bought by individual investors and are not very well known. Thanks for any info/help.
