I recently purchased shares of EMC and really like the numbers I see except for the 'Flow' Ratio which is just over 3. I would just like some feedback on this and if a high ratio is indicative of some weakness in the company.<<I think it reflects the need to maintain a relatively high inventory. Apparantly there was some difficulty with some of their suppliers which led to this need. This, IMHO becomes a weakness if sales growth slows and the company is left holding a bloated inventory turning assests into "liabilies". Right now it seems EMC is doing very well. The high flowie and a less than complete understanding, on my part, of data storage technology have kept me out of EMC. I regret not owning some every time I see it go up (nearly every day) :( There are intermittant heated debates on the virtues of EMC on the RM board that you might want to check out as well...-MarkV
