I remember decades ago when I read Peter Lynch's "walk down wall street" he said that over ANY ten year period you were better in stocks than bonds.

I've always stayed heavy in stocks. 90's. 00's. 08 crash. Stayed put. It's done well for me. Maybe I'll go to bonds when I retire, but until then....equities.
