I saw from your profile that you are on Cape. It's ironic, but the more expensive a school you apply to, the higher the chance they will give you a significant break on the tuition if they believe your child will help their image. Montessori is great, but the schools don't tend to be big enough or well enough funded to give a decent break on tuition. Have you looked at Cape Cod Academy? This is the level of school, similar to paying for college, that Sis got her kids to attend for almost free, albeit when they were in high school, not elementary school. Sometimes the best value has the biggest retail price tag, because those paying retail subsidize your deep discount price.
