I see you live in Canada. It is cold there. Will you truck be parked outside for long periods of time where you have no place to plug it in?

You may want a remote starter that can either detect the block temp is below a certain point and start the car to warm it up for a few minutes or get one that will just start itself every 2 hours for 10 minutes.

Is your truck Gas or Diesel? A remote starter for Diesel needs to be set up to turn on the glow plugs as well as start the car more often for more time when set to auto-start.

For Non-Canadian people who live very south (or north if you are in the southern hemisphere): We plug in our cars in Canada to operate small heaters that keep the engine block warm because a car will not start if the engine is too cold.
