I see your cheapass ways, and raise you a 5 mile walk in the snow to school!

Heck, I'm a 1%er (okay not technically quite there yet, but I'm at LEAST a top 25%er) and in my house we predominately re-gift, make gifts, or just plain don't gift. We coupon cut. We follow the "if it's yellow let it mellow" rule. :) Our house cost about the same as theirs despite more income. Our elementary school aged boys wear mostly hand-me-downs from cousins. My truck has 232,000 miles as of yesterday. When my water pipe broke, I'm the one that dug the hole, laid in the mud and fixed it. We haven't bought NEW ziplock baggies in at least four years! We pay $49 for internet AND cable television. I work seventy to eighty hours a week sometimes AND grocery shop with my wife AND work on homework with the kids AND find time to look super handsome too. Not because I have energy, but because I'm a looser if I don't.
