I spoke to a friend who had been on That Very Ship just before Christmas, and she was sufficiently pleased with the service and treatment on the ship that she would go again, and definitely on Carnival (which she has preferred to other trips she was on).

She watched the 20/20 (or whatever nbc had on tonight) and determined things were handled pretty well, considering, and that most of the media coverage is taking into account that People love to see the baddest worstest news and it gets ratings!!! slime and disorder!!!

She also noted that there is a reason certain places were called the Poop Deck. (I'm going to look that up on wiki now).
