I still pay cc the old fashioned way. They send me a bill, I write them a check.

I used to do that, too. Right up til the time that I wrote a check to pay off DH's business account like I always do, except it got lost in the mail. I found out a few weeks after it was due when I went in to check something on-line on his card. I just called and the rep was kind enough to credit back the late fee and the interest based on my payment record where it was obvious that I wrote the check for the full amount the day the bill came in. But after that, I wasn't willing to take any chances, so I switched to paying on-line.

I do still have them send me a paper bill because I'd have to print it out anyway for tax purposes, but at least now I can schedule the payment and track it to make sure it's all set.
